2023 Ferrari Purosangue: What We Know So Far About Design, Engine, Release Dates

What an impression of the 2023 Ferrari Purosangue! After waiting for decades the world’s renowned luxury car brand; Ferrari has finally announced its first advanced high-performance SUV on the market. In the past few months, we have seen some stunning images of Ferrari’s new SUV and it is likely that it will be called the Purosangue.

Even adding Ferrari’s prancing horse badge to the grille of a high-performance SUV won’t ruin the brand, even though it would be a big step forward. Porsche and Lamborghini have earned a great deal of success with these high-performance SUVs thanks to successful iterations of the concept, and now Ferrari has also taken a huge step in this same genre.

The Purosangue will be powered by a version of Ferrari’s mighty naturally-aspirated V12 engine, along with a host of other upgrades. Purosangue, a new model for the Ferrari lineup and its first SUV for the Italian supercar maker, is expected to hit the market at the end of 2022 and 2023 when the car is expected to debut as the latest model in the supercar maker’s lineup.

Uniqueness in 2023 Ferrari Purosangue

The Italian car manufacturer confirmed that its first SUV would be named Purosangue; however, the vehicle has not yet been officially revealed, despite the brand having confirmed the name several years ago.

There is no official word from Ferrari yet, but hints indicate that the new SUV beast will use one of two highly flexible structures that will serve as a foundation for Ferrari’s future range of vehicles. An all-natural aspirated engine powered by a 12 cylinder mill will be fitted to the Ferrari Purosangue. It marks an extraordinary milestone in Ferrari’s decorated history and is poised to be a game-changer.

There is also a possibility of plug-in hybrid technology being included in this upcoming model, which will be derived from the V6 power-train found in the upcoming Ferrari 296 GTB, as well as the electrified V8 engine used in the SF90, with either of these options being possible.

Key Factors

Earlier this year, Ferrari announced that it would begin offering a satin red paint option on all of its cars, which is Rosso Ferrari F1-75. A color that is derived from Ferrari’s 2022 Formula One racecar, is currently being used by the brand.

It is safe to assume that Ferrari will also offer this new Purosangue in a red finish since the color is currently offered on all existing road cars by the company. Ferrari fans and potential buyers will be attracted to this paint because it appears to be available at no extra cost.

Aside from automatic emergency braking technology, this Ferrari Purosangue is also equipped with pedestrian detentions for the driver’s safety. With the aid of adaptive cruise control, this Ferrari SUV is equipped with a lane-departure warning system as an additional safety feature.

Designs of upcoming 2023 Ferrari Purosangue

The Italian giant has yet to launch its latest SUV, the Purosangue, but a number of leaked images have been floating across the internet, showing some glimpses of the SUVOpens in a new tab., so we can get a quick glimpse of how it will look in the flesh.

The exterior of the car

It appears through the leaked images posted by the officials; that the SUV seems to be muscular and intimidating from the outside which is one of the characteristics of any high-end SUV. Clearly, this high end SUV seems to be very aerodynamically shaped in front, around the headlamps, and at the bottom, and it has several aerodynamic trickery features. The SUV seems to have a wide track up front, which is likely going to help it maintain a sure footing on the road.

This design language is instantly recognizable to viewers since it appears to be a blend of the Stradale and the Ferrari Roma in terms of its appearance. There is no doubt that the nose is a resemblance to the Roma, but the headlamps are clearly recognizable as those from the SF 90 Stradale.

A Ferrari SUV has wide rims integrated into the side skirts, and the bodywork appears to be sculpted inwards to enhance down force, which appears to be in the form of an aerodynamic element.

The Interior of the car

There is no official announcement yet concerning the interior of the 2023 Ferrari Purosangue SUV, but, based on the images and concepts that have been floating around the internet, it seems safe to assume that the car must have a driver-centric exterior with more than enough space for four adults, airbags, and decent cargo space in the back.

In addition to leather racing bucket seats and a sunroof with panoramic features, this hardtop also has paddle shifters on the steering wheel making it a decent yet powerful beast. Among other things, this will probably house a large touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

There are multiple airbags in the car and the vehicle is equipped with ADAS features that will ensure the passengers’ safety. To accentuate the width of the car’s rear end, there are quad tailpipes, a large diffuser, an understated roof spoiler mounted on the roof, and a full-width LED light bar that runs the entire length of the car.

Engine of the 2023 Ferarri Purosangue

The Ferrari’s former CEO has confirmed that the Purosangue will have an engine containing a V12 that will be used in the launch version. With the Purosangue, a hybrid powertrain with a 4.0-liter V8 engine is expected to be available within the next couple of years, generating seven hundred plus horsepower by combining the V8 engine with an electric motor.

It is anticipated that this family-friendly Ferrari will have a plug-in hybrid system that will make it easy to commute to work and back on a daily basis. Although the hybrid engine would most likely be based on a V8 engine, it remains a mystery whether or not a smaller hybrid engine would be used. Ferrari might also try to merge a hybrid twin-turbo V6 with a Maserati powertrain in order to create a completely new vehicle.

As Ferrari has been producing electric vehicles for almost nine years now, it is unlikely that they will encounter any difficulties when it comes to integrating the propulsion system for the Ferrari SUV. In fact, it is actually the design of the car that would be most alarming, as it does not fit with the image of Ferraris we know and love.

Fuel consumption of 2023 Ferarri Purosangue

There is no reason to expect the Purosangue to be regarded as a leader in fuel efficiency even if it is offered with a hybrid power-train. Because Ferrari has placed a lot of emphasis on performance over fuel economy, whatever gains the power-train can manage to make due to the use of electric motors will be applied to acceleration rather than fuel efficiency.

As a car enthusiast, we expect the Purosangue to be able to achieve around 14 mpg on average on both highway and normal roads, which would be similar to the results obtained by both the Urus and the 12-cylinder Bentayga.

Connectivity of Ferarri Purosangue

Ferrari’s new additions to its lineup, the Roma and F8 Tributo, differ from each other in how they approach the in car entertainment system. In contrast to the Tributo, the Roma offers a more traditional infotainment screen positioned vertically in the middle of the dashboard where all such controls and features can be accessed through a display in the center of the gauge cluster, with an optional 7 inch display for the driver. Maybe the 2023 Ferrari Purosangue will provide navigation standards, but we can’t predict where it will be installed.

Safety features

We expect Ferrari to offer a host of driver-assistance features, though. As this kind of expensive cars are not being tested by the officials due to its huge price tag. But rest assured that this Ferrari SUV will come along with various safety features like; adaptive cruise control, lane detection facility, innovative emergency braking system, and many other features.

Warranty coverage

An unprecedented seven years of maintenance coverage will be provided to Ferrari Purosangue buyers in 2022.

Price and release date of the 2023 Purosangue

In September 2022 announced the official release of the 2022 Ferarri Purosangue in its world premiere, based on the statements made by the officials, and the delivery of the new model of the Ferrari will begin in 2023.

In the United States, we may have to expect a starting price of about USD $350,000 for the car. Since the U.S. market is one of the largest in the world, Ferrari would be wise to prioritize U.S. deliveries as a priority for its sales team.
