What’s happening to 2024 Chevy Silverado EV? For a starter, the ride comes with electric unit with the shared platform with GMC Hummer EV, but the Silverado EV somewhat looks more like the classic pickup trucks instead of the futuristic truck. It has midgate design, enabling users to fold down the existing wall between the cab and the bed for extra storage space. If you are familiar with Avalanche’s design (especially in the early 2000s), this will somewhat reminds you of it.
The EV Line
This 2024 Chevy Silverado would be coming with big battery pack, enough to cover 400 miles per charge, the DC fast charging technology is able to provide enough power in 10 minutes to cover 100 miles. Two electric motors would power up the all wheel driving system. With 664 hp and 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, this Silverado EV is definitely promising.
Although Chevrolet hasn’t provided complete and detail information about the pickup truck, it’s likely it would be manufactured in Michigan, which is the same spot that builds the Hummers. The Silverado EV would compete against Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, and Ford F150 Lightning.
Price and Release Date
As the 2024 model, expect the Silverado to be available around 2023 – most likely after the middle of 2023. For the price range, it depends on the trim. The higher it is, naturally, the more you have to spend. The base trim would be the WT with estimated starting price of $42,000. The next one would be the LT, set at $50,000. The following one would be the LTZ at around $75,000 and followed by the Trail Boss at around $85,000. The High Country is likely being set at around $90,000 while the highest trim, the RST, would be available for around $107,000.

claims that they are doing their best for all lineup production, but if you want better features, you can start from the Trail Boss. If you don’t mind spending extra, the RST would be worth it.
Interior Cabin
The cabin of RST trim has been released, and many auto enthusiasts are happy with it. It comes with two tone black and white leather upholstery and fixed glass roof. The company has cleverly chosen the column mounted stalk, instead of console mounted shifter, resulting in more space for big storage bin located between the middle armrest and the dashboard.
Expect to find digital dashboard on the 2024 model. It should be coming with 8.0 inch of digital gauge display and 11.0 inch of infotainment touchscreen display. They would be set as the standard. If you choose the higher trim, the RST, you can even enjoy bigger infotainment screen with 17.0 inch and bigger gauge display with 11.0 inch. Although you are free to configure it, the climate control still comes as simple analog knobs. Although Chevy hasn’t said anything about the interior cabin, expect Android Auto/Apple CarPlay to become the standard arrangement, along with onboard WiFi hotspot, SiriusXM satellite radio, and in dash navigation.
Exterior Appearance
It seems that Silverado EV is inspired a lot from the Avalanche. The company, though, won’t call it as the Avalanche because they want to make both models completely different from one another. Sure, Silverado may not remake the Avalanche, but you can spot the cues here and there, including the triangular (sail) panels that empower the cab’s back area to boost aerodynamics for the full-size pickup. There is also a midgate with 60/40 split. When it is folded, it would stretch the space up to 9 feet, especially with the tailgate being up. Sounds like 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is super promising, isn’t it?
