Honda is being serious about redesigning their upcoming 2023 Honda HRV. That’s why they are thinking about launching a more handsome design. Although the current generation has good value and it is super practical, the HRV is in need of improved powertrain and curb appeal. After all, the HRV is competing against Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-30, and also Hyundai Kona, so they need to make sure that they are doing their best.
The Updated Project
The upcoming HRV will still be coming with four-cylinder unit, but it’s unclear whether it would be a natural-aspirated type or the turbocharged one. The current one also boosts its own versatility, but Honda
is planning on Adding a Magic Seat on the second row to improve modernized vibe. When paired up with updated techs and good looking appeal, the new style should be a part of the work.
Prices Factor
The base HRV, the LX, would start from around $23,000. Higher than that is the Sport, which is estimated to be around $25,000. The EX would be coming as the next trim with $26,000 as the tag price. And the higher trim would be the EX-L that is set at around $28,000.
If you want to get the best bargain, it is advisable to go with the EX. It offers the most satisfying features that should be enough to deliver satisfying performance and outcome.
Engine and Performance
Different engine arrangements would be implemented for different markets. In Europe, for instance, the HRV would be coming as a hybrid unit, inspired by Accord and Insight. What about the one for North American’s market? It’s unclear, but hopefully, it would be coming as a four-cylinder unit with 2.0 liter capacity that is delivering 158 hp. The idea is taken from the compact Civic wide.
The current HRV isn’t popular for its quiet athleticism, so many have expected that the next one would be coming with such good feature. The information about fuel economy rating isn’t known either, but considering that the current one already comes with good rating, Honda may likely maintain it, or improve it along the way.
Interior Cabin and Comfort
In the cabin, the 2023 Honda HRV would have a more modern design, inspired by the Civic 2022 model. There is a minimalist vibe that is able to combine both classic and modern style, while adding up storage options and attractive styling. There would be an infotainment display (the free-standing type) included in the cabin. And with the Magic Seat new model, the rear seating compartment can be flipped and then folded efficiently. It is so low that it would be flat to the floor. Despite the compact and small size, the interior cabin can have its roomy size, which is handy for cargo purpose.
Release Date
There is not much information about the upcoming HRV, because the company hasn’t said anything about it. But you should learn more about it once more release has been launched. For the 2023 Honda HRV, it is expected that the launch takes place before 2022 is over.
