Jeep Unveils Plans for Electric Cars with Jeep 4 EV SUVs by 2025

Let’s talk about Jeep 4 EV SUVs by 2025. By the end of 2025, Jeep will introduce four completely new all-electric SUVs to the North American and European markets. It is planned that 50 percent of Jeep brand sales in the US will be electric by 2030, while 100 percent of Jeep brand sales in the European market will be electric by then, as part of an ongoing comprehensive product plan.

It has revealed the first images of two fully electric SUVs that will be available in North America and around the world, the Jeep Recon and the Jeep Wagoneer. Additionally, the brand confirmed that all-new, all-electric Jeep Avenger would be available in Europe early next year.

A full reveal of the Wagoneer S will take place next year, but the teaser images have been released thus far. As a result, it does appear to be slightly less hulking than its gas-powered counterpart. The interior space would be similar to that of the traditional Wagoneer. But the dimensions of the Wagoneer will be slightly smaller, so there will only be two rows rather than three. As a part of the Wagoneer S, an LED grille will also be offered, which is one of the fastest-growing trends in the EV industry today.

A new electric SUV, Wagoneer S, is joining Jeep’s Wagoneer family.  With a range of 400 miles on a single charge, 600 horsepower, from 0 to 60 mph time of 3.5 seconds, this new, all-electric SUV will be offered exclusively as a BEV. The all-new Wagoneer BEV will also be demonstrated next year, and production will begin in North America in 2024. The all-electric Wagoneer model will be available for reservation in the US in early 2023. Several major markets around the world, including Europe, will sell it.

There was no word from Jeep’s executives regarding the price of its upcoming EVs, but if the window sticker on the Wrangler 4xe is any indication, the Wrangler’s EVs won’t be inexpensive. Wrangler 4 by 4 Sahara starts at $52,520, Rubicon at $56,220, and High Altitude at $58,340, which is the starting price for the 2021 Wrangler 4 by 4.

As with all new launches, there will likely be hiccups and obstacles; the automaker has already faced delays in rolling out its Grand Cherokee 4xe hybrid, which is expected to reach dealerships at the end of the month. The Jeep company’s strong ties to Stellantis, which is one of the world’s largest automakers, make it the fourth largest automaker in the world. Although the automaker has not revealed the price of the Grand Cherokee 4xe, experts predict that it will start at around $65,000 when it becomes available.

Kokomo, Indiana, has been chosen as the site for Stellantis’ $2.5 billion electric vehicle battery factory that will be built in Kokomo. South Korea’s Samsung SDI, one of the largest manufacturers of EV batteries, will be the partner in the plant’s construction.

4 EV SUVs by 2025 #03: Jeep Recon

For several years, the name Recon was used to refer to a package of options offered by Jeep for its Wrangler and other models. The company just announced that the name has now been applied to one of Jeep’s upcoming electric cars and that it will only be offered as a battery electric car. As Jeep’s chief design officer Ralph Gilles puts it, buyers will be able to see a little bit of the DNA from the Wrangler infecting the design of the Recon, and that’s not by mistake.

There will also be removable doors and roof panels on the Recon. As a result, it will be even more customizable than the Wrangler. It will have exposed door hinges like the Wrangler. In contrast to most other EVs that have sleek, aerodynamic body shapes, the Recon will have exposed door hinges like the Wrangler. This car included a suspension lifted vehicle body which was designed to accommodate bigger tires. Recon will be among a long list of rugged outdoor vehicles with the distinctive seven element grille in front, which has become a hallmark of the brand in the past few years.

Besides this, it will also include the latest generation of Stellantis’ U-connect software, which will provide detailed travel guides on the most notable off-road trails in the area. There will also be Jeep’s Select Terrain traction control system, an e-locker axle technology, underbody protection, tow hooks, and off-road tires installed in the EV. It is expected that the Recon will arrive in North America in 2024, although buyers can start reserving one as early as 2023. Electric SUVs will be sold in major markets all around the world & Europe.

4 EV SUVs by 2025 #04: Jeep Avenger

The Jeep Avenger will be offered in the compact SUV segment under the Jeep Renegade. Until the Paris Auto Show on October 17th, Jeep has not provided any major details regarding the Avenger; the compact SUV will be unveiled in greater detail at the event. It boasts an electric range of 400 kilometers and impressive ground clearance and break over angles for its segment. It also offers a modern and technologically advanced interior, with plenty of cargo and passenger space.

The Jeep Avenger is scheduled to arrive in Europe in 2023. In countries such as Germany and France, the Jeep brand has already made a big shift by offering only electric SUVs in a number of countries, including the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. It is expected that by the end of this year, all of Jeep’s SUVs will have been electrified in most of the European markets where Jeep sells its SUVs.

Jeep’s Investment in Electric Vehicle

In spite of, the production line not being available in the US, it did point out that they will be available in some countries in Asia as well, including Japan and South Korea. There will be a production line for the electric vehicle at the automaker’s Tychy, Poland, factory where it will be built. As part of Jeep’s overall electrification strategy, the company plans to invest $30 billion USD in electric vehicle technologies between now and 2025. Specifically, 40 all-electric models and 15 plug-in hybrids are expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe by 2025.

Wrapping it Up

The plan fully supports Stellantis’ long-term strategic plan, Dare Forward 2030, which sets net zero carbon emission targets. This year marks the debut of the luxurious Grand Wagoneer, as well as the Wrangler inspired Recon off-roader.

Jeep’s ambitious electric vehicle program will enable the brand to become the quintessential SUV brand in North America in the new era. By 2030, Stellantis, the parent company of the company, hopes to sell all its electric vehicles in the United States as well as in Europe. The new EVs will not be replacing any existing Jeep models, according to Jeep, when it comes to the replacement of existing Jeep models.
