Rumor has it that 2023 Acura RDX would be available soon, considering that some of its camouflaged spy photos have been around the net lately. The new 2023 model has been seen wearing a stylish camo; trying to cover some handsome updates. For the upcoming refreshed look, the new RDX would be coming with refreshed fascia front and rear design, and hopefully, a comfier cabin.
The Redesigned Scheme
Aside from the exterior changes, there would be refreshing touches on the interior. Engine department will likely get the updates too, but maybe not as much as expected. But the RDX should be coming as a good-looking SUV that won’t compromise performance and quality despite the only minor updates.
Exterior Redesigned Plan
When the first spy shot of 2023 Acura RDX was viral on the internet, it’s obvious that some changes have been made on the exterior parts. You can say that it is better and more stylish in the overall sense. The SUV is seen wearing a new refreshing front fascia as well as the rear. You can see the floating roof design which adds appeal to the ride. On the back side, you can see the new exhaust design with its tip constructed with a square-shaped appearance. But this is an unsure thing, so we can’t say that it’s already been confirmed or not.
Interior Cabin and the Refreshments
The interior cabin is able to accommodate 5 people. With its two row arrangements, the SUV
is spacious and roomy. The vehicle provides definitely enough space for travelers as well as their belongings. The front area provides more-than-satisfying support while the rear area still provides spacious room for the headroom and legroom. The back seat is foldable, which means that you can even expand the area behind it for cargo.
Engine, Performance, and Power
Unfortunately, it seems that the SUV will be coming with only one option for the engine. It seems that the company is confident enough with their inline-4 turbocharged engine of 2.0 liter capacity that is able to churn 272 hp. It comes with auto 10 speed transmission and the standard front wheel driving system. All four driving system is available as an optional pick. There is a possibility of a hybrid system, which will make it similar to the (previous) RLX sedan. The engine itself comprises of a 3-motor setup that will send power to either the all wheel or rear wheel driving system.
It’s a good thing that the SUV does have its own towing ability and power. Unfortunately, it is only 1,500 pounds. Not so promising or good, especially when compared to Lexus NX that is able to tow load for more than 2,000 pounds. And the number itself is still far from being satisfying (or even the best) in its class.
Price and Release Date
It is predicted that the new RDX along with the 2023 Acura RDX Type S will be launched next year although the exact time is still unsure. With the minor updates, be ready for a slight increase in the price. The base line may be coming in less than $40,000, but let’s wait for further confirmation about 2023 Acura RDX.
