Honda is getting prepared with their new Pilot, so expected the upcoming 2024 Honda Pilot to get some refreshments. After all, it’s due time for the vehicle to get mid-cycle update. The last 2021 model has resulted in dual zone standard climate control and auto 9 speed transmission. It was also the time when the Special Edition level was included. There have been several contradicting ‘reports’ concerning the possibility of redesigning factor and also the next version.
Exterior and Interior Changes
Based on some information and rumors, it’s likely that the new Pilot will stay the same – despite the conflicting rumors. Although some say that it would be a mid cycle refreshment, Honda doesn’t say anything about it. They don’t even seem to produce anything related to the Pilot. To be on the safe side, consider the Pilot to stay the same.

The Pilot may be likely having minimal structural upgrades, offering minimal style. It’s also possible that Honda offers a special edition trim for this model. There should be new wheels and also color options. The main elements of grille, headlights, and lines would likely the same. If there are going to be some changes, they may be minimal and only a tad fix. The Pilot comes with sculpted front fenders, traditional profile, and highlighted character line, and changes would only upgrade the look.
If the exterior doesn’t have too much change, you should expect the same from the interior cabin. It’s likely that the cabin will stay the same – but with only several minor modifications to the new options and available equipment. Again, if there is a special edition, there would be unique details within the cabin. The mid size dimension offers plenty of space inside, and the many handy features are definitely helpful. Although the rear row (the third row) is a bit narrower when compared to the other two, the space is still roomy. The space between each row is basically generous.

Cargo capacity is around 83.9 cubic feet, while cargo volume even with the seat up can reach 16.5 cubic inches. Pretty nice, right? There are various features. Expect LED auto headlights or dual zone climate control as the standard.
Powertrain and Performance
It seems that the 2024 Honda Pilot will still be using the same engine arrangement, which means that the V6 unit with 3.5 liter capacity will stay. It is able to generate 280 hp and 262 Nm of torque. The standard transmission would be auto 8 speed with two and all wheel driving system. All of the trims would be using the driving systems, except for the two. For fuel efficiency, it would be 20 mpg for the city, 27 mpg for the highways for the front wheel driving system. For the all wheel types, it would be 19 mpg for the city and 26 mpg for the highways.

It’s possible that the 2024 model would be coming with electrified power. After all, Honda wants to electrify their truck and SUVs range. It means that there is likely a hybrid type for the upcoming Pilot. For the hybrid, it is likely coming with the current hybrid technology, which means that it is coming with V6 unit. It’s possible to use smaller turbocharged unit that is paired with electric motors. It’s highly likely that Acura MDX hybrid would be using the similar arrangement.
Price and Release Date
Expect the 2024 model to be available by the late 2022 – if nothing is delayed. The base trim may cost $32,500 while the highest trim may be around $40,000. Expect more information from Honda once they are ready to introduce their 2024 Honda Pilot.
